it is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants. The fiber is most often spun into yarn or thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile. The use of cotton for fabric is known to date to prehistoric times.
Soft, dry and comfortable
Excellent moisture absorption
Cotton fabrics lack of elasticity and reverse capability
Properly treated easily curls
is a thermoplastic, silky material, first used commercially in a nylon-bristled toothbrush (1938), followed more famously by women stockings after being introduced as a fabric at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. Bill Pittendreigh, DuPont, and other individuals and corporations worked diligently during the first few months of World War II to find a way to replace Asian silk and hemp with nylon in parachutes. By August 1945, manufactured fibers had taken a market share of 25%, at the expense of cotton.
Strong, tough and resilient synthetic fiber
Is poor against liquids, humidity
it is a strong, durable and resistant to most chemicals fabric. They also resist wrinkles, shrinking, abrasion and mildew. Compared to cotton, polyester withstands wear and tear longer and retains its shape even in harsh climates.
Synthetic fibers are often used in the production of sportswearand
Strechy and does not crease
Strong and durable
Is weak against liquids
Spandex or elastane
is a synthetic fiber known for its exceptional elasticity. It is strong, but less durable than its major non-synthetic competitor, natural latex. It is a polyurethane-polyurea copolymer that was invented in 1959 by chemists C. L. Sandquist and Joseph Shivers at DuPont Benger Laboratory in Waynesboro, Virginia. When first introduced, it revolutionized many areas of the clothing industry.
natural fibers, tweed little curls, cold heats and cools the heat. Wool processed using the highest technology, so most wool fabrics does not crumple. This is a very warm fabric. It absorbs moisture, wool clothing provides a sense of comfort when they are hot or chilly air. In cold air, even little moisture on the skin becomes cool, quickly reduce body temperature. The absorption process is running in hot air to survive by helping the body hang it around. Wool has the ability to isolate the heat and cold, protects against sudden temperature changes, and allows your skin to breathe.
Of all textile fibers, wool keeps the best heat, wearing woolen clothes body sweat. Woolen fibers easily absorb and neutralize odors.
Wool can absorb up to 30% moisture before becoming moist.
When moisture is absorbed, heat is produced so that the wool remains much more hot than cold and wet. After hard work or sport, a great idea is put on wool hoodie because it allows the body to cool slowly.
Over time, woolen fabric has the ability to thin. Fiber is not resistant to bleach, heat and sunlight.
EMBRACING "THE UNCOMMON THREAD" AS A MANTRA
We have turned socks into one of the world's most exciting accessories in less than five years. Our founders saw a category that had been ignored, taken for granted, looked over, and dismissed. By creating life into something that had been overlooked, we ignited a movement of art and self-expression that has drawn athletes, performers, and iconic cultural influencers to the brand--a group we call the Punks & Poets. By underpinning our creative roots with a relentless focus on technical innovation, we've ensured that Stance socks are now found in over 40 countries on the feet of those who dare to be different.
WHAT WE LIVE BY
We take calculated risks to advance our people and our business.
Difference inspires our culture, stories and products. We celebrate divergent perspectives that spark original solutions.
We value approaches that get results and enhance our ability to get results in the future.
We believe responsible people thrive on freedom and are worthy of that trust.
We are humble in our communications with and treatment of others; we are quick to give credit for results, and slow to take it.
We live at the intersection of art and science, designing products that perform at the highest level while inspiring the human spirit.
It’s not rocket science, but we hired a rocket scientist anyway. We are writing the book on quality standardization. Why? Because innovation that doesn’t last is just a gimmick.
We’re defining the future of knitwear, and have an unbridled passion for perfection. We start with the best, and if that’s not good enough, we develop our own proprietary fibers.
